Optimization and relevant countermeasures of thesis teaching for undergraduates with the major of public health

[Abstract] Objective To investigate the reform effectiveness of thesis teaching for undergraduates with the major of public health and to provide basis for establishment and improvement of thesis teaching system. Methods After thesis teaching reform in our school, the satisfaction differences in various aspects before and after reform were compared by using the return visit and on-site survey methods. Results For preventive medicine major, satisfaction degree in thesis form and timetable after the reform were significantly higher than those before the reform (χ2=5.896, P = 0.015; χ2=18.471, P < 0.001). For public service enterprise management major, satisfaction degree in thesis form after the reform was not significantly different from that before the reform (χ2=0.488, P = 0.485), but satisfaction degree in timetable after the reform was significantly higher than that before the reform (χ2=19.918, P < 0.001). In general, the satisfaction level after the reform was higher than that before the reform. Conclusion Reform of thesis teaching is conducive to improving the quality of thesis and the overall development of the school of public health.

畢業(yè)論文能夠使大學(xué)生綜合運用所學(xué)專業(yè)知識，通過搜集相關(guān)資料，在教師的指導(dǎo)下，是大學(xué)生從事科學(xué)研究的最初嘗試，獲取本專業(yè)相關(guān)知識的有效途徑，并就某一問題進行研究、分析比較，提出解決問題的方法[1]。畢業(yè)論文能夠充分體現(xiàn)了理論與實踐相結(jié)合，也是檢驗學(xué)生掌握知識程度基本標(biāo)尺之一[2]。因此，在大學(xué)生畢業(yè)實習(xí)考試設(shè)置畢業(yè)論文（設(shè)計）具有重要的意義。我院預(yù)防醫(yī)學(xué)專業(yè)及公共事業(yè)管理專業(yè)都把畢業(yè)論文作為學(xué)生的必修課，是取得學(xué)士學(xué)位的重要課程之一。我院于2010年進行了畢業(yè)論文管理模式的改革，為比較改革效果，為以后改革提供參考依據(jù)，特此完成此項調(diào)查。
